Community Action

Sign up to lead a National Day of Action in Your Community

Join the student movement striking from school to demand that our politicians take our future seriously and treat climate change as what it is: a crisis.

SchoolStrike4Climate also known as Fridays for Future (FFF) is an international movement of school students who skip school to participate in demonstrations demanding action from political leaders on climate change. They include school students of all ages, races, genders, backgrounds and sexualities from every part of Australia and is one of the biggest movements in Australian history.

They have three key demands: NET ZERO by 2030 with no new coal, oil and gas projects. A transition to 100% public renewable energy generation and exports by 2030. Funding for a transition and job creation for workers employed by the fossil-fuels industry and their communities.

Check out SS4C Australia’s upcoming actions including the blockade of the world’s largest coal port. You can also host your own action using their fantastic resources including a local group starter pack, partner outreach guide, promo pack and media, insurance and legal guides, and a doctors certificate template.
