Sebastian works in the Urban Transformations Research Centre at Western Sydney University. His multidisciplinary research investigates how climate-responsive planning and design can reduce the impacts of heat on humans and urban landscapes. His work forms the underpinning for policy change and design improvements in Australia and internationally. Sebastian's projects won multiple awards for innovation in technology, design and sustainability.
